A flower blossoms for its own joy

I’m sharing a card I made for a friend’s birthday featuring the flower from the Beautiful Day set by Altenew.

To make up my card I used the inspiration photo from the current Altenew challenge.  I picked up the two flowers and three leaves as well as the layout and the sequin embellies and used them on my card.

I went with pink for my flowers and cardstock mats as it is think pink for breast cancer awareness over at Casual Fridays.  And, as my card features a layered stamp I am also linking it up at Less is More.  To add interest I stamped the outline of the flowers and leaves with embossing ink and added gold embossing powder.  I used the same embossing powder for the sentiment, which also comes in the same set, and finished off the card with gold sequins.

Ingredients:
Chalks & Powders etc
Embellishments
Gold Sequins from stash
Inks & Paints etc
Papers
Bazzill Smoothie Cardstock ~ White
Stampin’ Up! Cardstock ~ Flirty Flamingo & Powder Pink
Stamps
Challenges

Thanks for stopping by!

The pink and gold is a lovely combination for these beautiful Altenew flowers. And although you've matted the panel on a few layers, it's still wonderfully clean and simple.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x

These are gorgeous flowers and your layout design show them off beautifully Emily. There's lots of lovely clear space and the touch of sequins adds some interest too. Thanks so much for popping this in to us at Less is More xx
